Vasti Ortiz has been painting for as long as she can remember. She got started about 18 years ago when she picked up a brush to paint over her husbands painting of a deer from the 1980's that he had displayed on his wall.

As an artist, she specializes in creating vibrant acrylic art that combines a unique set of colors and shapes to convey a powerful visual impact around identity and culture, and to celebrate the beauty of diverse perspectives and experiences. By using acrylic paint, she is able to explore her creative limits and bring her art to life in beautiful and unparalleled ways. Her true passion lies in creating portraits, commission work, and other creative pieces.

 

She is a creative painter based in Texas. Her work artfully communicates her message of hope and enables her to explore new ideas and perspectives of the world. Despite not following the traditional path to becoming an artist, she has dedicated herself to developing her skills through years of practice and experimentation.

 

She began her journey as an artist later in life, teaching herself through trial and error, and finding joy and fulfillment in creating art. Over time, she believed that paintings had the power to capture moments, bring people together, and influence hearts and minds.

She has accomplished much in her long and successful career, most notably winning the first prize for the best art work in the art in the park show and having two gallery showings that displayed her work. Such achievements gave her the confidence that her work is bringing joy to many. Her artwork is not only aesthetically pleasing but she also believes that it has the capacity to bring people together in a positive way. The appreciation that she receives for her art is what drives her to do her best and bring out the best from her skills.
